Studying the Art and Science of Ayurveda is a life-long process. No single course can teach everything and a university degree is only the first step along the path. In order to really grasp the wisdom of Ayurveda, a firm commitment to ongoing study, self-development and practice is required.
The APA has adopted a continual professional development (CPD) policy for all full and associate members. CPD can be defined as a range of learning activities, which allow healthcare professionals to continue to develop throughout their career and ensure that they retain their capacity to practise safely, effectively and legally within their evolving scope of practice.
For full details about this mandatory scheme, please see APA CPD Policy
The APA is committed to providing an ongoing programme of high quality CPD events for both members and non-members alike. We endeavour to provide a varied programme covering different topics and to invite speakers with international teaching experience as well as clinical exposure in the West, so that the seminars are practical and appropriate for the UK context. For information about upcoming events, see the Ayurvedic CPD Events page.
