The International Ayurveda Symposium looks back on a long tradition: Since 1998, the Ayurveda community has been meeting in Birstein every year in autumn. The international gathering of experts provides important impetus in the fields of education, research, and practice in ayurvedic medicine. In 2018, the Symposium is supported by the Consulate General of India in Frankfurt. In addition, recognized professional associations and academic institutions stand aside as partners for this conference.

Following the success of our first series last year, Triveda and Ayuwave are delighted to be hosting this second series of 6 evening seminars studing Asthanga Hridayam, Sutra Sthana; Chapter 2 (Dina Charya – Daily regimes) and Chapter 3 (Ritu Charya – Seasonal Regimes).
Each seminar will cover slokas from Asthanga Hridayam, interpretation of Sanskrit terms and concepts within their original context and their application in today’s clinical practice.
This series is aimed at both Practitioners and students of Yoga and Ayurveda, who wish to increase their knowledge of Ayurveda accordingly to the classical principles and use them within their practice. Seminar hours will count towards CPD points.
These seminars will be delivered by Dr Vijay Murthy (B.Nat (NZ), M.Surgery (Ayu), B. Ayu Med & Surgery (IN), MPH (NZ), FRSPH)
Dr Vijay Murthy is a well-known lecturer of Ayurveda, an acclaimed Ayurvedic physician, naturopath and researcher. He is the director of Ayuwave Natural Health & Wellbeing and hosts the radio show “Unlock Your Health” and is a Visiting Associate Professor at the Institute of Trans Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology.
Dr Vijay inspires and his talks are never boring ....and are always backed with a pragmatic and wholistic approach to health.
