APA Webinar ~ Looking at Local Herbs from an Ayurvedic Perspective

Wed, 21 April 2021 17:00 – 18:30 BST

Online Event

The APA is delighted to host a webinar on Looking at Local Herbs from an Ayurvedic Perspective with Anne McIntyre.

Join Anne for a discussion about common local herbs using Ayurvedic classifications. It is important to consider the wisdom and sustainability of depending for our medicines on herbs grown out of sight thousands of miles away in India and other far corners of the earth. For us to get the best results from our plant medicines, it is vital that we ensure that they are of the best quality, free from pollution, correctly identified and produced with minimal impact on the environment. Sourcing them locally and ideally foraging, growing and preparing our own herbal remedies is the best way of ensuring this. Let’s start by looking at a few popular spring remedies that you can all find on your doorsteps such as dandelion, nettle and ground ivy.
