The APA is delighted to present a webinar by Dr Marianne Teitelbaum titled: 'The Gallbladder and Its Far-reaching Effect'.

Most of us are aware that the gallbladder aids in the digestion of fats, but are unaware of some of the many far-reaching effects it has on the entire physiology. Dr. Teitelbaum will discuss in this lecture how the gallbladder plays a tremendous role in the breakdown of dietary fats, fat-soluble vitamins, fat-soluble toxins, and estrogen (which is made of cholesterol). She will also discuss the consequences of bile sludge, resulting in acid reflux, constipation, high estrogen/low progesterone, osteoporosis, and high cholesterol. Also discussed will be the lack of peristalsis and interruption of the migrating motor complex (MMC), which arises when bile fails to flow in a timely and effective manner.

Many of these symptoms are chased around the body when they arise, however, it is best to identify the root causes and fix them, or else the results of treating these symptoms could be minimal.

The lecture will show why the bile sludge may form in the first place and what to do about it.
